Effects

Jump Kick deals damage, however, if it misses the user keeps going and crashes, losing 12 of its maximum HP. Jump Kick cannot be used if Gravity is in effect.

Changes

  • In Generations 1-3, Jump Kick has 70 base power.
  • In Generation 4, Jump Kick has 85 base power.
  • In Generations 1-4, Jump Kick has 25 PP.
  • In Generation 1, the crash damage is always 1 HP. In Generation 2, the crash damage is 18 of the damage the attack would have inflicted, while in Generations 3-4 it is 12 of that potential damage.
  • In Generations 2-3, the user does not crash if Jump Kick is used against a Ghost-type Pokémon. In Generation 4 it does crash, but since it would not deal damage the user takes damage equal to half of the target's maximum HP.

Z-Move effects

When a Pokémon is holding Fightinium Z and uses its Z-Power, Jump Kick turns into All-Out Pummeling and has base power 180.
