Effects

Poison Powder causes the target to become poisoned. Poisoned Pokémon lose 18 of their maximum HP each turn.

Poison or Steel type Pokémon, those with the ability Immunity or those behind a Substitute cannot be poisoned.

  • In Generations 1-5, this move's name is formatted as PoisonPowder.

Z-Move effects

When a Pokémon is holding Poisonium Z and uses its Z-Power, Poison Powder turns into Z-Poison Powder and raises Defense one stage, in addition to its usual effect as above.
