Mega Lucario Z revealed for Legends: Z-A DLC
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 02 December, 2025
A new trailer has dropped and it reveals an additional Mega Evolution for Lucario: Mega Lucario Z. It will be available in the Mega Dimensions DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Here is the trailer:
Mega Lucario Z remains Fighting/Steel type. This form is listed as a Z Mega Evolution
, which need less time to fire off moves but burn through Mega Power very quickly.
Also announced is a Side Mission to obtain Mewtwo and its Mega stones. It's available from the Link Play menu > Mystery Gift > Get via internet.
Mega Zeraora revealed
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 19 November, 2025
A new trailer for the Legends: Z-A DLC has been released and reveals a new Mega Evolution: Mega Zeraora. It remains Electric type.
Description from official info: Zeraora has incredibly high aptitude to begin with, but typically it has an internal limiter that works to contain the electric energy stored within its body. It’s thought that Mega Evolution removes this limiter.
It's stated that getting Mega Zeraora might be a little difficult
, so it may be a more involved quest during the DLC rather than a simple Mystery Gift.
Mega Chimecho & Mega Baxcalibur revealed in new trailers for Mega Dimension DLC
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 06 November, 2025
Three new trailers have been released for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The first two deal with the paid DLC, which is announced to be releasing on December 10th. During this DLC, Hoopa opens up portals to Hyperspace Lumiose
, a parallel world in which different Pokémon can be found, including several from newer games like Scarlet/Violet.

There are also new Mega Evolutions. Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y were seen previously, and this trailer also reveals Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur. Continue below for the trailer videos.
Mega Evolutions for Raichu and the original Kalos starters announced
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 12 September, 2025
The latest Nintendo Direct has aired and revealed five new Mega Evolutions for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The first three are of the original Kalos starters from Pokémon X&Y - Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja. These are not the First Partner Pokémon
in Legends: Z-A but can be caught during gameplay. Their Mega Stones are obtained from Ranked Battles. Here is the trailer:
Also revealed was Mega Dimension
- a paid DLC rather than being in the base game. The story appears to be based around the mythical Pokémon, Hoopa. During this DLC two new Mega Evolutions will be available - Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y. Images below.
New game Pokémon Pokopia revealed in Nintendo Direct
General News — 12 September, 2025
The latest Nintendo Direct has aired and revealed a new spin-off Pokémon game - Pokémon Pokopia. In this game you play as a Ditto who's taken the form of a human. As you encounter Pokémon you can learn new techniques and build the world around you.

Mega Malamar revealed in "news report"
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 10 September, 2025
A new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been released, this time taking the form of a news report with social media clips. In the report a woman admits to using Malamar to hypnotize people into loving it. At the end it's revealed she does this using a new mega evolution for Malamar.

Mega Malamar remains Dark/Psychic type, and the mega evolution process apparently further enhances the effects of its powerful hypnosis

Mega Hawlucha revealed in new trailer
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 28 August, 2025
A new trailer has dropped, which reveals a new Mega Evolution: Mega Hawlucha! It takes the form of a wrestling match against Machamp, who starts with the upper hand, but then Hawlucha Mega-Evolves and wins the battle.

Mega Hawlucha remains Fighting/Flying type and increases in size slightly.
Mega Victreebel revealed in spooky trailer
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 21 August, 2025
A new Mega Evolution of Victreebel has been revealed in a new trailer. The video takes the form of found footage
with two people exploring an old spooky house. At the end a third trainer is trying to control their Victreebel which has Mega-Evolved.

Official description: The volume of this Pokémon’s acid has increased due to Mega Evolution, filling its mouth. If it’s not careful, the acid will overflow and spill out.
Z-A Battle Club revealed at Pokémon World Championships
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 17 August, 2025
At the closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships this weekend, an update on Pokémon Legends: Z-A was announced. In Link Battles and Ranked Battles, Z-A Battle Club has up to four players battle in a melee, and the trainer who defeats the most Pokémon, and acquires the most points, wins.

Pokémon Presents reveals Mega Dragonite and other features
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 22 July, 2025
A new Pokémon Presents has just aired, with many news snippets as well as a new game announcement and futher news on the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which will be released October 16, 2025. The biggest news was the reveal of Mega Dragonite!

During the story of LZA, you will join Team MZ
who protect Lumiose. As revealed previously there is a tournament Z-A Royale
that takes place at night, and there appears to be an evil team called the Rust Syndicate
. As in the original X/Y games there is a big fashion focus and trainers can change their hairstyle and clothing.
Like Legends: Arceus, there are many side quests where you can help out other characters around the city, and do research on Pokémon. Another strand is Rogue Mega Evolution
, where wild Pokémon have been Mega-Evolving on their own and you must quell them. Among them is Mega Dragonite, which takes on features of Dragonair such as its small wings and pearl on its tail.
Z-A Royale tournament revealed for Legends: Z-A
Pokémon Legends: Z-A — 27 March, 2025
A Nintendo Direct has aired and featured some Pokémon news. After a short recap of earlier info, it's revealed that at night trainers come out to battle in a tournament called the Z-A Royale
.
In special zones, similar to wild zones but marked in red, if a trainer sees you they will challenge you to battle. You can also sneak up on a trainer or their Pokémon, similar to taking wild Pokémon by surprise in Legends: Arceus. In the tournament, trainers start at rank Z and work up to rank A.

Pokémon Presents reveals more details on Legends: Z-A and new battle game
General News — 27 February, 2025
A new Pokémon Presents has aired today - Pokémon Day - and revealed more about the upcoming game Pokémon Legends Z-A, as well as a new battle-focused game. The full presentation can be seen below:
After a little bit of Pokemon history and some brief trailers on mobile games, a new game was announced: Pokemon Champions. It will be available on the Nintendo Switch as well as mobile devices, and focuses on core-style battles
. It will also connect to Pokemon Home.
Finally, we learned more about Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
