A Pokémon Direct that covered multiple Pokémon games. It follows a guy going to see his brother and battling in Pokken DX. He gives a present to his nephews - copies of Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon. We then see some short footage of the new 3DS game, in which a new look Lycanroc appears, as well as Necrozma fusions with Solgaleo and Lunala.

The trailer starts with gameplay clips including the player choosing their starter Pokémon and some Alolan Exeggutors dancing. It promises to reveal new secrets of the Alola region. There is a new look for the player. Next, we see Lycanroc Dusk Form with confirmation that only an event Rockruff will evolve into the form.

A new Z-Move exclusive to Kommo-o, Clangorous Soulblaze, was debuted at the Pokémon World Championships. Kommo-o shakes its tail and unleashes its move against Salamence and Garchomp; its stats also rise.

Kazumasa Iwao, the director of Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, shows off a new feature called Alola Photo Club. It allows the player to take photos of themselves with their Pokémon, making lots of poses and dressing up with accessories.

Necrozma forms and new Ultra Beasts

Necrozma forms and new Ultra Beasts

Necrozma is shown using its signature move Prismatic Laser. We the learn that in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Necrozma captures Solgaleo or Lunala and fuses with them to make Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma. A new beach area and Pikachu Valley are shown. Details on the event Rockruff follow, with a new Z-Move Splintered Stormshards for Lycanroc. Finally, new Ultra Beasts UB Burst and UB Assembly are showcased.

Mantine Surf

The Island Challenge returns with some differences, including new trial captain Mina. More than 400 Pokémon will appear in Alola. A summary of the Alola Photo Club feature is presented with many photo examples. Finally, some rockin' music accompanies a new feature, Mantine Surf, which allows the player to surf between islands and do jumps and tricks.

A more theatrical trailer that aired during Oha Suta. It starts with Necrozma appearing from an Ultra Wormhole and causing havoc. Several Ultra Beasts also emerge at different places, and we see the player riding Solgaleo or Lunala into Ultra Space.

Travel Beyond Alola

This trailer features some of the Japanese footage, with more explanation. The player will battle Ultra Beasts on their home turf. A new city, Ultra Megalopolis, is all in darkness as Necrozma has stolen the light. Some new characters appear who are part of the Ultra Recon Squad. A new Ultra Beast, UB Adhesive, appears, and details on the typing and abilities of the other new UBs is confirmed.

New Z-Moves

New Z-Moves

A trailer confirming the details from a recent issue of CoroCoro magazine. We have a new move, Photon Geyser for Necrozma and Z-Moves - Searing Sunraze Smash for Solgaleo/Dusk Mane Necrozma and Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom for Lunala/Dawn Wings Necrozma.

There is a new version of the Rotom Dex. Once befriended, it will unlock new Z-Powers to assist in certain tasks like hatching eggs more quickly or gaining more EXP. It can also allow the repeated use of a Z-Move.

A new reveal video showing several post-game features. Team Rainbow Rocket appear, comprised of past leaders Giovanni, Archie, Maxie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre.
Next we see a new facility Battle Agency where Pokémon are rented and battled against various characters from the game.
Totem Stickers can be collected and traded for Totem Pokémon.
Legendary Pokémon can be encountered beyond Ultra Wormholes, and a huge array of legendary Pokémon are shown.

The full animation for Mimikyu's exclusive Z-Move from Ultra Sun/Moon is shown. It's known as Let's Snuggle Forever and involves Mimikyu engulfing the enemy under its sheet and doing damage.

Ultra Necrozma is officially revealed. It's shown transforming then using its signature Z-Move, Light That Burns The Sky. Next, Poipole is confirmed to evolve into Naganadel (codename UB Stinger).
