Greetings.
I'm Hoenn's Fury. I like Absol, and I'm an official CAT of team FASTEST. I like PS! and competitive Pokémon in general. I also collect cards from the TCG, and I'm half-decent at playing it.
My first Pokémon game was Emerald, the game responsible for my favorite Pokémon, Region, and my username. I mostly play the older games, and all my knowledge of games past HGSS comes from PS!
I once fought a war with the entirety of team Ribbit and I survived.

The reason why Absol is my favorite Pokémon is not the reason why most people like Absol. When most people who don't play Pokémon think of the Dark type, they think that it is evil. Absol is the opposite of that stereotype. Absol warns people of coming disasters, and the Dex entries for its Mega forms say that Absol doesn't like hurting other Pokémon, and it doesn't want them to suffer. Absol genuinely cares for other people and other Pokémon.
(And it looks really cool.)
Absol is a cat. I have proof.
Also, I too thought Absol was a legendary when I first encountered one. You're not alone PokeVeggie!

I HATE Water types with a hatred greater then the hatred with witch Groudon hates Kyogre. This is probably because:
1) I've played through Emerald at least 7 times, each time using Torchic. Water Routes, Water Gym Leader, Water Evil Team, and Water Champion get annoying after a while.
2) When I didn't have many cards in the tcg, I kept getting obliterated by Black Kyurem ex, (Which is a Water-Type in the tcg) because I had no other ex cards. The pain is still with me to this day.
Groudon was justified for hating Kyogre.
