If I'm understanding your question, you asked why try to confide in you? I wouldn't really say I'm confiding in you, I would more say I'm yapping about a situation to the people most familiar with the characters and history of the situation, to a certain degree. That, and it's just a natural tendency to talk about things that have been happening in my life. I don't know if I really get anything out of it, but I imagine people in general like to talk about themselves and their own lives and be heard while doing so. We are the protagonists of our own stories, after all.
