The only shiny I've ever found in-game (other than Gyarados in SS) was a Poochyena on a fake Emerald cartridge that became corrupted. (As of 5/23/2020, I also found a Shiny Graveler, but it used Selfdestruct...)
Even though my favorite ball is the Premier Ball, I catch all of my Pokémon in regular Poké Balls.
