The official Pokemon Facebook page has revealed a new Pokemon - Doublade, an evolved form of Honedge.
It takes the form of two crossed swords, like a coat of arms. The ribbons also change from blue to pink.
Doublade is 2'7'' tall and 9.9 lbs, and has the ability No Guard.
Roundup of minor X&Y features
Pokémon X & Y — 20 September, 2013
Various gaming websites are starting to post reviews and first impressions of Pokémon X&Y. Here are some interesting new snippets we have learned. We'll keep this updated as more comes in.
- Supposedly X&Y
include all Pokemon from all previous games,
though it's not clear if that means available in X&Y itself or just tradeable like every other game. - As noted yesterday, no Kalos Pokémon will get a Mega Evolution.
- Pokémon earn EXP even when you capture a Pokémon.
- Masuda stated that the reason stereoscopic 3D is not used in the overworld was to allow them to add much more detail to the overworld and enhance the
beauty
aspect of the games. - Pokémon now make more natural sounds instead of the current computerised sounds.
- The story gets going much quicker than in previous games.
- Each of the starter Pokémon has a STAB move from the outset (i.e. Ember for Fennekin, Water Gun for Froakie).
- You can run with the B button from the very beginning of the game.
- You are gifted the Rollerskates before the first gym.
- You can learn new tricks for skating if you defeat Rollerskating trainers.
- PokéCenters now contain changing rooms to allow customising your character's outfits.
- Café culture permeates the many cities and towns of Kalos.
- Masuda stated they do not plan to release any
balance
patches to the games (e.g. to change the type chart or certain moves).
New Pokémon Aurorus and Tyrantrum leaked
Pokémon X & Y — 19 September, 2013
The evolutions of the recently-revealed fossil Pokémon have been leaked by a French news website and IGN respectively. They are named Aurorus and Tyrantrum. Aurorus learns a new move Freeze Dry which is Ice-type but also super-effective on Water type Pokémon.

In addition to this, a few details about the games have been confirmed. First, as was seen in the demos last month, only battles and cut scenes use the 3DS stereoscopic 3D effect (i.e. with the depth slider). The overworld uses the regular flat screen.
When capturing a Pokémon in the wild, the Pokémon in battle will now earn EXP. It was also confirmed that no Kalos Pokémon will get a Mega Evolution.
Localisations for September CoroCoro Pokémon revealed
Pokémon X & Y — 13 September, 2013
The English names for the recent Pokémon featured in CoroCoro have been announced, as well as a few more battle details. First up, the starters evolutions are known as Quilladin, Braixen and Frogadier:

Quilladin, Braixen, Frogadier
The Rock/Dragon fossil Pokémon is known as Tyrunt and the Rock/Ice fossil is Amaura. They are revived from the Jaw Fossil and Sail Fossil respectively - as usual, in your game you only get to pick one!

Tyrunt, Amaura, female Meowstic, male Meowstic
The white dog is Furfrou and its fur can be trimmed into several different styles and colors (see the video below). The male/female cats are named Meowstic. There are notable gender difference between male and female Meowstic, besides the inverse colors. The male learns more defensive moves and the female learns more attacking moves. It's also implied their base stats are different to accommodate this.
New Pokémon, Pyroar, accidentally leaked
Pokémon X & Y — 12 September, 2013
A new Pokémon called Pyroar has been revealed by the Pokémon Company via IGN. It appeared briefly on their website earlier but was quickly taken down. It is now confirmed to be an evolution of Litleo:

CoroCoro reveals new Pokemon, Mega Evolutions, type chart and more!
Pokémon X & Y — 11 September, 2013
September's CoroCoro has just leaked and showcases lots of new information about Pokémon X&Y. First up is a second Mega Evolution for Mewtwo! Each of the Mega Evolutions are version-exclusive. The previously revealed form is Mega Mewtwo Y, while the new one below is Mega Mewtwo X, which is Psychic/Fighting type and has the ability Steadfast (raises speed on flinching). Mega Garchomp is also revealed, which has the ability Sand Force.

Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Garchomp
The starters first evolutions are called Gerogashira, Teerunaa and Hariboogu in Japanese and keep their single types of Grass, Fire and Water respectively:
As in previous games there are two fossil Pokémon: Chigorasu (Rock/Dragon) and Amarusu (Rock/Ice) - both unique type combinations! Chigorasu has a new ability Hard Jaw
that increases the power of biting moves (assuming moves like Bite, Crunch, Fire Fang etc). Amarusu has a new ability Frozen Skin
which turns Normal type moves into the Ice type and boosts their power.
The new type chart for the Fairy type is confirmed. Fairy is super effective against Fighting, Dark and Dragon; not very effective against Fire, Poison and Steel; Poison and Steel are super effective against Fairy; Fighting, Dark and Bug are not very effective against it; Dragon type moves have no effect on Fairy type Pokémon.

Sprites added to gallery
Site Updates — 08 September, 2013
With less than 35 days until Pokémon X & Y are released, I finally got around to adding to remaining sprites we were missing from Pokémon Black 2 & White 2! This includes animated shiny and back sprites for all Pokémon, and the new Formes for Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Kyurem and Keldeo.
The various pages for Pokémon X & Y have been updated, and I added a basic guide to the new feature, Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter, which should answer all the questions I've seen asked in various places.
In other site news, on Pokébase the username change period is drawing to a close. If you wanted to change your username on Pokébase then you only have a few hours left to do it! See here for details.
Finally, don't forget you can follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook for breaking news as it happens!
Pokémon Direct reveals Pokémon Bank, PokéTransporter and more Mega Evolutions
Pokémon X & Y — 04 September, 2013
Pokémon Direct has just finished airing and they revealed lots of fantastic details. The video featured Satoru Iwata (President of Nintendo), Tsunekazu Ishihara (CEO of The Pokémon Company) and Junichi Masuda (Director at Game Freak). First in the video they talked about how trading between games has evolved over the years, from link cables to wireless to wi-fi trading over the internet.
Then a new service called Pokémon Bank was announced, which is an online cloud storage
service for your Pokémon! In Pokémon X&Y you will be able to send any Pokémon from your game to the Pokémon Bank. This will be a paid service - in Japan it's confirmed to be 500 Yen per year, which is about $5 or £3.
Furthermore, a new app called PokéTransporter will be released for 3DS. When you have any generation 5 game (Black/White/Black 2/White 2) in your 3DS, the PokéTransporter app will allow you to migrate the Pokémon off the cartridge and in to the Pokémon Bank. Then, back on Pokémon X&Y you can download them from the bank into your game!
New nuggets of X&Y information from the Pokémon Game Show
Pokémon X & Y — 17 August, 2013
At the Pokémon Game Show this weekend in Japan, demos of X&Y were available for play. Several small bits of information have come out from that.
In the demo you battle your rival, then go to see Professor Sycamore who tells you about Mega Evolution and gives you a Mewtwo and you battle him. It's unclear if this is just a special battle for the demo or actual gameplay (it would be quite late in the game if so). There is a special Mega Evolution button on the fight screen; when pressed the Pokémon Mega-Evolves and can use a move on the same turn. Graphics have also been improved by having each move slot the same color as the type of move.

The Fairy type is confirmed to be not very effective against Fire types, and the Fire type is neutral against Fairy. In the overworld, running the default and the player must hold B to walk.
Update: an image appearing to show Sylveon's shiny form has surfaced, continue for details.
Ampharos, Absol and Mawile Mega Evolution details confirmed
Pokémon X & Y — 12 August, 2013
The official site has confirmed the Mega Evolutions of Ampharos, Absol and Mawile and provided clearer pictures.

Mega Ampharos, Mega Absol, Mega Mawile
When Ampharos Mega-Evolves, apparently the red orbs on its body emit a strong light.
Mega Absol increases its Attack and Speed.
Mega Mawile increases its Defense and Special Defense.
Our Pokedex has been updated with the latest details. For now, the Mega Evolutions are listed as forms. Based on currently-known information, Mega Evolution works in the same way as an in-battle form change.
A few other additions we haven't yet already mentioned in news are a new attack, Nuzzle (learnt by Dedenne), and a new Ability, Cheek Pouch (possessed by Dedenne and Bunnelby).
Mega Kangaskhan revealed at Pokemon World Championships
Pokémon X & Y — 10 August, 2013
The Pokemon World Championships are under way in Vancouver, and a new Mega Pokemon
has been revealed in a trailer showing there! It's a Mega Kangaskhan and it has a new ability Parental Bond that allows it to attack twice in one turn. It appears the baby leaves its mother's pouch and attacks in the same turn as its mother!

New "Mega" Pokemon announced!
Pokémon X & Y — 09 August, 2013
As noted in the previous article, CoroCoro has leaked and given details of new Pokemon and features. The biggest news, however, was the announcement of Mega Evolution. Described as an Evolution beyond all Evolution
, Mega-Evolved Pokemon are stronger and often have a different type or ability. Six Mega Pokemon have been revealed so far, including Mewtwo, whose previously seen Awakened
form is now confirmed to actually be a Mega Evolution.

Mega Mewtwo, Mega Lucario, Mega Blaziken

Mega Mawile, Mega Absol, Mega Ampharos
However, although officially called Mega Evolution, the process is more like a form change. Pokemon can only enter their Mega forms in battle, when holding a unique Mega Stone
item for each Pokemon. Blaziken, for example, evolves
in battle when holding Blazikenite
. A special event is lined up for the release of Pokemon X & Y to obtain a Torchic holding a Blazikenite.
Summary of the known Mega Pokemon:
- Mega Mewtwo has higher Special Attack and the ability Insomnia.
- Mega Lucario has higher Attack and the ability Adaptability. Requires Lucarionite.
- Mega Blaziken has higher Attack and the ability Speed Boost. Requires Blazikenite.
- Mega Mawile is Steel/Fairy type and the ability Huge Power.
- Mega Absol has higher Attack and Speed and the ability Magic Bounce.
- Mega Ampharos is Electric/Dragon type and has the ability Mold Breaker.
