~Shiny list~
It's a shame that I have too many to give details on without ditching my profile.
Note: This excludes the Lake of Rage Gyarados and the Legends: Arceus Ponyta, as well as Shinies in spin-off games like Quest. Oh, and those Ultra Wormhole Shinies I think I have but am unsure.

Gau deserved to make it into Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. They chose a demon clown instead. Seriously, the Wild Child of the Veldt needs way more love.
But in less important news...

Life is a balance system.
By limiting your options, you'll think outside the box.
Did you know that sticks are sticks and pain is very painful?
If you ever feel unlucky, just remember that I learned of Goku Day's existence on May 10th.

My username is my username. Feel free to call me Giru. Or Gau. Something like that.
Got into Dragon Ball a while ago, if you hadn't noticed. I finished the original, Z, and GT. Started Super, got uninterested, have yet to finish Super. Imagine getting an action anime and caring more about if the characters are cute or not.
...Seriously though. Look at those kids. Tell me you wouldn't pat their heads. Like Gotenks, who doesn't like Gotenks?
Did you know Naruto was shorter than Yugi?
I'm a Shiny hunter, if you didn't know that already from, y'know, the list of Shinies. If you did, I'm still a Shiny hunter. Shiny, shiny, as Gau might say.
Speaking of Gau, he's one of those characters who I'm still a fan of, despite the fact that I first played Final Fantasy 6 over a year ago. That's pretty good considering how quickly and often I go through fandoms. Dunno why he's stuck for this long, but he has. That makes me happy, because when I play something new and cool, I focus on it like crazy, and it doesn't take long for old favorites to be pretty much abandoned. But so far, he's still there. It's reassuring, if that makes any sense at all. Or maybe I'm just bored...
I always see RPGs as having more turn-based combat, probably due to the fact that I played Super Mario RPG a ton when I was little. Turn-based combat is real fun though. So is good music. Video games generally have good music and I love it. Live A Live (pretty awesome game by the way), for example, has great music. Try listening to Megalomania.
Aside from video games, writing is also a hobby of mine. At least, it's supposed to be, but for quite a while, a lack of confidence and lack of results killed my enthusiasm for writing. Things seem to be turning around, though, as not only am I writing, but actually finishing things, which seemed foreign to me before. Two short fanfics so far and a confidence boost. Thanks, Dragon Ball.
We need a new Mystery Dungeon game, and it needs lots of starters. We're three Gens behind so far. They could've at least remade Explorers of Sky. They remade Diamond and Pearl and made Legends: Arceus, but I guess remaking the Gen 4 Mystery Dungeon was just too much for them.

~Shiny fails: every act of sheer klutziness tells a story~
Psyduck (Female, Level 17) - March 10th, 2021
I was Shiny hunting Psyduck in Moon. After a long while, I finally encountered a Shiny. Of course, the darn thing was stubborn and kept calling for help. After a few calls, the most startling thing happened, and I burst out yelling when I saw it. The Psyduck had called another Shiny Psyduck. Now, this was pretty incredible luck. Sure, I had a Shiny Charm and it was a rather long SOS chain, but still. I hadn't expected anything like that to happen... well, ever, I guess. The sad thing about SOS chains is that you can only use Poke Balls when there's one Pokemon on the field. You know what that means: I had to defeat one of the Shinies. Now, it's one thing to soft-reset over a Shiny or run out of Poke Balls. Those are just stupid mistakes or not being prepared. But it's another to have to knock out said Shiny so you can catch a different one. It really sucks. In the end, I decided on the male Psyduck. It was the first Shiny Psyduck, and I wanted a male one more. So I one-shot the female one with my Shiny Shelgon's Dragon Claw, and, after a bit of calling for help, caught the male Shiny.
Chansey (Female, Level 39) - July 13th, 2021
I was Shiny hunting Eevee, and luck hated me. I was just sitting around and wishing that, with all the Eevees coming out of the dang woodwork, I'd find a Shiny soon. But like with my earlier attempts at an Eevee Shiny hunt, where I caught a Shiny Ponyta, I found a Shiny Chansey. I took off after it and started flinging Ultra Balls. It burst out with one shake or no shake at all. Then it performed the second animation and I freaked out. I used another Ultra Ball, not wanting to use my only Master Ball, and it broke out of that too. I was going to flee from it, but it beat me to the punch and fled. My Catch Combo broke as the icing on the cake. Chansey isn't such a lucky Pokemon when it flees from you.
Kangaskhan (Female, Level 18) and Cubone (Male, Level 16) - May 28th, 2023
This was the worst. The worst. None of my other fails beat this. It is the Psyduck incident on steroids. I was SOS chaining Cubone and found a Shiny. However, it kept calling for help. Like, the amount it called for help was insane. It took me a while just to get my first shot at catching it, and I wanted to use a Beast Ball. Guess what? Broke out. And this kept up a lot. I had about five chances to catch it in total. But partway through, it called a Shiny Kangaskhan, and of course, I had to knock her out. All for nothing, too. If you were wondering how long I was attempting to catch this Cubone, it literally Struggled itself to death. I couldn't catch a Cubone in over 70 turns. True, I was using a Beast Ball, but still. I should've just caught the bloody thing, but I was fussy and it cost me a Shiny. Two of them, technically. Talk about feeling like an idiot.
~The Story of How I Got My First Full Odds Scarlet Shiny (very catchy title, I know)~
I went down a cliff to look at a random Tandemaus because I had nothing better to do. Then I saw a Shuppet and ran into it because I wanted one for my Pokedex. That's when I noticed another Shuppet in the background with a greenish tint.
Yeah. It was Shiny.
Luckily, it didn't despawn, but every second I waited for the run option to appear had me stressed that it would.
Then I caught it in a Dusk Ball.
~The End~

You have now reached the bottom of my profile. But that's not merely scrolling down really far. No, what you've just accomplished is a heroic deed that will be sung about for generations. Parents will tell stories of your bravery and endurance in the face of adversity to their children so that they may be inspired to achieve goals that seem overwhelmingly difficult, even impossible. Years from now, another will set out on a quest to achieve the seemingly impossible. He will journey through miles of wilderness for months, even years, to accomplish what his hero inspired him to do through tales he heard as a child. And, through hard work and perseverance, he will eventually prevail. But who, you may ask, is this brave young man inspired by? What drove him to accomplish the task? Why, the answer is you. What you've accomplished here today is an inspiration to many. Now, as you go on a grand new adventure, I hope you'll remember the amazing goal that you finally achieved today.
May the Goten give you luck.
