[Gen 9] Anything Goes Tera Stellar Sweeper
> Miraidon @ Life Orb
Ability: Hadron Engine
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Electro Drift
- Dragon Pulse / Agility / Overheat
Miraidon is one of the best special attackers in the entire tier, even surpassing Calyrex-S in terms of immediate offensive power. With LO Electric Terrain boosted moves, it is capable of OHKOing most Pokemon unboosted. After a single Calm Mind and/or Tera Stellar, not even dedicated counters like Ting-Lu, Iron Treads, Blissey, Tera Grass SpD Ho-Oh or non-Unaware Clodsire can stomach hits from Miraidon. Also, Agility prevents faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Koraidon, Zacian-Crowned, Calyrex-Shadow, etc. from revenge killing it. All things considered, it is capable of potentially breaking past all of its checks and counters.
The set is rather straightforward to understand and use. Draco Meteor and Electro Drift are STABs that have almost perfect neutral coverage for the tier, while Calm Mind lets Miraidon setup on predicted switches. After a single CM, it can OHKO Ting-Lu when Terastalized. The last slot is flexible, and mostly depends on the rest of the team. Overheat hits the rare Iron Treads that can survive Miraidon's STABs, while Dragon Pulse is a more consistent Dragon option that doesn't have the drawback of lowering Miraidon's special attack. It is better vs stall as you aren't forced out from SpA drops. Agility is effective vs hyper offense teams as they mostly rely on faster Pokemon (like Zacian-C, Koraidon, Calyrex-S) to get rid of Miraidon.
A Modest Nature along with Life Orb is chosen to maximize damage output, and Modest always OHKOes Ting-Lu with a Calm Mind and Tera Stellar boosted Draco Meteor unlike Timid Nature. Tera Stellar provides an impressive one time 1.5x boost to Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse and Electro Drift and lets it wallbreak much smoothly. Finally,
252 SpA EVs maximize special attack but max Spe aren't chosen because it's unnecessary. The only faster Pokemon are max Spe invested Arceus formes, Eternatus and other Miraidon. However, the former is rare and the latter two do not often risk staying on Miraidon (though you should probably scout first instead of recklessly staying on them. 136 Spe hits 340, which is faster than neutral natured Max Spe Arceus formes (339). Rest EVs are invested in HP to help Miraidon tank hits from Pokemon like Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Arceus' Extreme Speed, etc.

Teammates:
In general, Miraidon gets along well with any offensive sweeper. It appreciates defensive support more, as it is threatened out by faster Pokemon. Arceus acts as a Calyrex-Shadow check while Miraidon can take care of Pokemon that annoy Arceus, such as Skelerdirge, Alomomola, Gliscor, Dondozo, etc. Arceus-Fairy helps with Koraidon and Ting-Lu as well as switching in to opposing Arceus' Extreme Speed. Kyogre is great into special variants of Arceus-Ground as well as mutually overpowering shared checks in Clodsire, Blissey and Tera Grass Ho-Oh. On the other hand, Ho-Oh and Landorus-T also help with opposing Koraidon, Zacian-C that can halt Miraidon from sweeping. Hatterene extends Miraidon's longevity by preventing hazards from the like of Gliscor, non-Sludge Bomb Eternatus and Ting-Lu, and giving a weakened Miraidon another chance via Healing Wish.
