Cant a man have two sets of Torkoal?

- Body Slam / Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Curse
- Flame Wheel

Torkoal is a perfect combination of powerful and bulky. I personally use a special attacking one, but if you need a physical Pokémon it can do both. Start of with a curse or two to bulk up. Gryo ball will be quit powerful after all that. Flame wheel, without a curse or two, is pretty bad. But with fire gem, STAB and some curses, its quit strong. Body slam and Earthquake are just great moves

The best set for Torkoal would be...
Torkoal @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Def, 4 SpD
Bold Nature
-Solar Beam
-Flamethrower
-Sludge Bomb
-Shell Smash
The heat rock is to extend the duration of harsh sunlight that is put in play by Drought.
Solar Beam is used in one turn thanks to drought and is to take care of its weakness to water, ground, and rock types.
Flamethrower is STAB and is powered up by Drought.
Sludge Bomb has good power and accuracy so why not?
Shell Smash gives it the potential to sweep due to it raising your already decent special attack and horrible speed. Don't worry about it losing defense because that is already so high. Also its special defense is already so low it doesn't matter.

  • Skull Bash: Raises Def by 1, restoring Def from Shell Smash.

Trait: White Smoke
EVs: 10 Atk / 250 HP / 250 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
-LavaPlume : Good STAB + a 30% chance burn.
-RapidSpin : To get over Hazards.
-Curse : Nice way of busting his natural defense, boost his ATK and providing GiroBall a nice help.
-GiroBall : perfect synergy with curse.

This is a very specific use of Torkoal support as I dont use any hazer on my time so it works really well for me. If I cant handle the enemy sweeper any more I switch Torkoal and burn his RedCard. Them keep him in battle as much as I can using his ENORMOUS natural Def + Curse(Def Boost) and EVs on SDef end HP to cover his weak spot. His still not a perfect S.Tank but he's really tough.
