Snorlax & Pokeflute process

Question

Honestly, I'm getting confused with the whole Snorlax thing. Can someone EXPLAIN thoroughly the process. I got the Pokegear expansion, so start from there,

1.Get the Pokeflute.
2.Walk up to snorlax and open the radio.
3.Move the dot around on the touchscreen until the pokeflute comes on.
4.While the pokeflute is playing leave the radio.
5.Press a on Snorlax.
6.Battle Snorlax.
