M-gardevoir is better with a sole focus on special attacks and many special attacks to while. On the other hand, M-dia have the sig move diamond storm, which is physical, but has no physical fairy STAB to go with it, and that means you'd have a mixed sweeper set, meaning you can't have a nature or a bunch of EVs to go into the one offensive stat, making the sweeper less viable. You can go with power gem I guess though, but Diancie has a small movepool. M-gardevoir has a huge movepool, can take special hits like a pro, substitute passing STAB hyper voice, and a ton of offense. you can even baton pass some speed if you want.

To me it's like:
M-Dia > M-Garde

Because:
1) M-Diancie is amazing
2) Its a legendary
3) Competitively, nomal Garde can hit but I like Dia better, even though its not in the OU tier.
4) Mega Stone wise. M-Dia is better and easier to get ((ORAS)) but it wasn't avaliable in XY, but then you'd need to battle E4 JUST to get M-Garde's M-Stone, which by then, not many people go on :|

So go with M-Dia

Also I've used both before, and I found mega diancie better than gardevoir in my experience. Gardevoir was really frail whenever i used it and would die from completely random moves
But thats just me and I'm not the best battler
