Something that has been annoying me lately is the automatic and anti-intellectual response that to assume that anything said about, for example LGBT that isn't good is automatically bad and needs to be hated upon. LGBT is a huge cultural issue and there's a hell of a lot more to say and discuss than it's good' or 'it's bad'. For a society really hell bent on making everyone more open minded, we really aren't allowing many people to say their legitimate opinions on important subject matter.

You're right, I'm not studying right now (for the most part, still have texts to read for next year ugh). I guess the Christmas holidays are an opportunity to start playing Showdown again, but I've ended up in Europe, so there goes that. ;)
Next year is going to be a bit different for me and it may potentially involve more time away from school. I might be able to get back into competitive in that time. We'll see what happens.

I'm too busy to actually battle myself, though I do watch/ listen to it in the background while I study. So I'm keeping up with things, but probably really rusty in practise. I might get back into it at some point, if I get the time :)
