Oh, I've been out of the VGC scene for some months. It was time consuming and the community was a real turn-off. However, I still have a bit of experience in the early 2016 metagame. Amongst, eh? Here are some (or were some) common sets:

Spore: Obvious Spore is obvious.

Rage Powder: For eating Electric and Grass attacks aimed at Kyogre.

Foul Play: Works well on Yveltal teams, getting a right good boost in power. Dents Groudon if you use in sync with Dark Aura.

Protect: It's Protect.

Clear Smog: Kind of niche, it can be used to unexpectedly remove Geomancy boosts from Xerneas / Smeargle.

Giga Drain: omnomnom Kyogre tastes good
Grass Knot: Does ok damage to Groudon and Kyogre alike.
Sludge Bomb: Xerneas repellant, but not as useful as Giga Drain/ Grass Knot.

Worry Seed: An unexpected tool that can help you win a weather war with Groudon or Rayquaza, removing Desolate Land/Air Lock/Delta Stream and allowing Kyogre to set up rain.

So yeah, that's my advice ^.^
