If I were to choose your Pokemon and make a team out of it I would make it look like:
Aeordactyl, Starmie, Typhlosion,
I choose these Pokemon because of their great capablities. Ho-oh is an amazing Pokemon, however having another fire type in youtr party seems a little unnecessary to me, but this is just in my opinion. Lugia has stellar defensive capabilities, however, having another flying type seems a little unnecessary to me too. This counts for Gyarados, a great Pokemon, but having another water type seems unneccesary to me too. Don't get me wrong but I would personally not use many dual types.
To add 3 extra Pokemon I would personally choose Vileplume for a grass type, Nidoking as a covering Pokemon and maybe a phyiscal attacking Pokemon such as Heracross but this is my opinion. You don't have to bother chaging your team since it is nice like how it is now :)
If I had to choose team memebrs in your team I would choose:
Typhlosion, Aerodactyl, Starmie, Ho-oh, Lugia, Hypno, Snorlax :)

I would say Lugia since it is of a high lv and can be used as a temprary HM slave since it can learn, Surf, Waterfall, Fly etc...
You don't need to keep it of course, with Lugia in your party training Aerodactyl will be a little easier. If you want to you can put it back in your box but this is all up to you :)
If you were to put Lugia in your team, I would say that you could temprary rend Gyarados of duty until Aerodactyl is at the desired level :)
