Latias male without cheeting?

Can latias be a male because when I ran in the tall grass in my heartgold version it was a male and it was shiny so I did not know

It is impossible for Latias to be a male. Only Latios can be male.

Latias is the sister, and Latios is the brother.

In this picture, Latias is the red, and Latios is the blue.

Are you sure you didn't get mixed up or something? And if you aren't mixed up, then that is a glitch.
