What is a kamikaze?

I was reading comments for A bouffalant moveset and i came across trachy saying he prefered using it as a kamikaze

Kamikaze is a term used when you kill yourself for the good of something.
Such as Self Destruct or Explosion, to KO yourself, and possibly KO an annoying foe along with it.

Trachy was probably talking about some type of recoil damage or something.

Yep, recoil damage. It is mainly associated with WWII Japanese pilots, who would crash their planes into ships to destroy them easily (see Pearl Harbor).

Kamikaze is literally "Divine Wind." The Japanese named the storm that helped defeat the Mongols when they invaded Japan (twice) Kamikaze.
