If a liquid voice primarina uses perish song with a storm drain tatsugiri, what would happen?

will storm drain activate? will tatsugiri still have a countdown?

Either tatsugiri isn’t effected by the perish song, getting that special attack boost while everyone else gets perished song, or perish song works regularly. It most likely perish song works regularly because this website says storm drain works only with single target water type moves. I really have no idea, ought to try it out

I don't any evidence from research, so I'm not making an answer, but I can confidently say Primarina starts countdown, Tatsugiri gets the the stat boost, and doesn't start a countdown.

I tested and the storm drain Pokemon gets the boost while any other Pokemon are affected as normal, I'm just looking for anything else that could influence the results.

If a Pokemon with Storm Drain is hit by a Liquid Voice Perish Song, the Storm Drain user will get a Special Attack boost while other Pokemon on the field will be affected as normal.

Storm Drain only redirects single-target Water type moves to the Storm Drain Pokemon. Because Perish Song targets all Pokemon on the field, it will not be solely redirected to the Storm Drain Pokemon, meaning every other Pokemon on the field receives a countdown.
Basically, Storm Drain activates since the attack is still treated as a Water Type move, but the move isn't redirected from other Pokemon. This applies to both Singles and Doubles.
