can ruby saphire and emerald trade with Fred and Lgreen?

I tried and it diddn't work.i was using the union room way.(saphirre and lgreen)

It should have worked. Try again and make sure you have a wireless adapter in both consoles or a Gameboy link cable. If you are trying to connect them using a DS Lite it will not work, it has to be through two Gameboys.

oh... thank you i see what i have done wrong. can Lgreen trade w/ Lgreen or Fred through DSlite ?or does that have to be gameboys too?

Yes. They use the same game station and they are the same generation.
