pokemon yellow and pikachu

Question

ok so in pokemon yellow what happens to pikachu in these scenarios:
you release it/put it in PC box,
trade it away,
trade it for another pikachu,
it faints

EDIT: I mean about it following you

If you release it, it's gone forever and you cant get it anymore!

If you put it in PC, you can take it out whenever you want!

If you trade it for a pikachu, you have a pikachu with a different OT.

If it faints, it cannot battle, so you need to heal it.
