this is random of me to bring up, but trachy mentions making the suggestion in a different post so idk if that was answered or if the same suggestion was asked afterward

The taking away chat and letting the user post question/answers would either be almost always used, or almost never. Because almost every single time a user is banned, it's for their behavior in chat. I know there are occasional instances of rule-breaking posts (like questions about ROMs and such) but those don't happen nearly as often.
I've only ever been banned for bad behavior in chat (or on walls, but that ban was BS anyway) so if that were a function i'd appreciate that greatly for my eventual ban lol

only problem i see is that a lot of newer users unable to access the chat room would complain about it in meta.
