Technically both are canon and they didn't punish Bariss for some reason and then she dies on Felucia in Order 66. It just makes no sense whatsoever is all. Then again, who the hell knows with Star Wars anymore, since ever since we'started to get awful garbage like Force Unleashed and Clone Wars there has been no consistency in the canon.
