Using a calc removes ALL the added difficulty of beating a Kaizo Nuzlocke. The reason Kaizo Nuzlocke are difficult are because you don't know wether or not your pokemon is strong enough to defeat the other, or if yours will die. When using a calc, all that becomes known.
