Politoed (F) @ Leftovers

Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Scald
- Encore
- Toxic

If you dont know why politoed is on this team then you belong in a mental hospital. Drizzle sets rain (Surprise!), and 252 HP and 252 Def give him consderable physical bulk, allowing him to retain ove half HP when hit by things as powerfl as terrakion's close combat. Protect is for stalling, while Scald gets a nice rain boost, while also being my STAB. Encore is just freaking annoying, and allows Gliscor/Gyarados/Scizor to set up. Toxic is for eating away at enemies HP and works quite nicely in conjunction with Protect and Encore.

Thundurus (Thundurus-T) (M) @ Choice Specs

Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast

The first time I saw this Pokemon I made a mental note to use it, and with it's insane base 145 special attack and acceptable base 101 speed, he just screams to be used with specs. I'm not sure if I should go with Modest or Timid nature. Volt Absorb allows him to switch in on electric moves directed at Gyarados and Politoed. Volt Switch s STAB and allows him to revenge kill like a boss, and Thunder is also STAB, never missing in the rain, as well as hitting ridiculous hard. HP hits ground type switch-ins as well as giving BoltBeam coverage.
Focus Blast covers all of his weaknesses and hits rather hard.

Gliscor (M) @ Flying Gem

Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake

I've tried physically defensive Gliscor and it doesn't work for me, but I've found that Acrobatics Gliscor does work for me, as well as being fairly upredicted. Poison Heal allows him to switch in on Toxic and nab some recovery, and Jolly nature gives him a degree of speed, allowing him to outspeed sower enemies. Substitute is used upon switching in, allowing him to set up a swords dance and avoid status. Swords Dance is for boostng attack, and Acrobatics + Flying Gem hits incredibly hard, Earthquake also hits really hard and is STAB.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Gyarados has saved this teams hind end on more than one occasion, being the last conscious Pokemon on my team and coming back to sweep the enemies entire team. Twice. Dragon Dance is for boosting, and I don't think Gyarados culd have a better boosting move. Waterfall is STAB and hits insanely hard in the rain, especially after a Dragon Dance and a Moxie boost or two. Earthquake and Stone Edge provide Edgequake coverage.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite

Trait: Download
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Recover

I just love this guy, he has a good ability, decent fensive capabilities, and is very bulky w/Eviolite. Download goves him a nice spatk boost more often than not, and Eviolite makes him very solid defensively. Thuner never misses in the rain, and gets BoltBeam coverage with Ice Beam. Tri Attack is STAB, and Recover is for doing as the name suggests; recovering.

Scizor (F) @ Flying Gem

Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Acrobatics

This is my tried and true Scizor set, having a nice mixtue of bulk and offense. Adamant gives him a nice attack boost, 252 HP lets him take a hit, and 252 atk lets him dish a hit to. Swords Dance is rather obvious, Bullet Punch is STAB and priority, hitting really hard with Technician boost. Bug Bite is STAB, also nabbing a Technican boost. Acrobatics + Flying Gem is additional coveage, and hits just about anything.

3 flying types....
Sand veil getting banned in OU kinda killed this team I little bit :(
Why Toxic and Scald? No need 2 status ailments. If you prefer Toxic go with Surf over Scald that have more power. If you prefer Scald put it Ice Beam over Toxic because it cover his Grass-type weakness.
Because Scald only has a small-ish chance to burn and Toxic poison is EXTREMELY useful, where as Scald can burn things like Scizor that can't be hit by Toxic.
Toxic is usually used for bulky water killing, such as facing Jellicent or Gastrodon.

Theres no ba and you have been editing so I'm guessing this is unresolved so ill give what I can.

Politoed
This set is fine but I'm not keen on having both protect and encore, personally I would keep protect for better stalling but Ice Beam could help you out here for predicting Thundurus switch ins.
But then again gyarados can need some support setting up, Scizors support isnt as much needed.

Thundurus
Fine set you have though Timid/Hasty is defintly the way to go, thats the only thing you have over Salamance ect 389 SAtk is still respectable and It has specs as well so your missing out on nothing.

Gliscor
Ive never been keen on the set but then again ive never tried it ;)
But I can see it dying quiker if yoiur running sub, you already have a loss in def becuase of this set, terrakion will make mince of it now so I'd suggest going for coverage and switch sub for ice fang.

So far it seems I'm only saying minor suggestions but half the sets are good and synergy is good ;)

Gyarados
Ok this team has no major problems but Starmie is one of the few, and you need time to set up with gyarados.
It already has a monster attack and a Stab Waterfall further boosted by rain and moxie to top it off so try this set I'm becoming very fond of.

Gyarados (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Speed
Adamant Nature
-Waterfall
-Ice Fang
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake

One of the best late game sweepers there are, A waterfall can end you the match.
It will sweep teams if used correctly.

Porygon
I know you love him but yiu have no stealth rock user and the coverage porygon gives is already provided by many Pokemon.

Skarmory
I think you know the set but spikes and Stealth rock will help this team incredibly well especially for Gyarados and Scizor.
If you want the set just ask.

Scizor
You already have one acrobatic abuser and your missing fighting coverage and A trapper would be nice.

@Choice Band/Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Speed
Adamant
-Bullet Punch
-Superpower/Pursuit
-Swords Dance/Pursuit
-Bug Bite/U-turn

Anyway this is the rate over and probably the shortest ive ever done lol
I do recomend trying these suggestions especially the Porygon switch.

Alright, lets get started
Politoed is great but wheres ice beam? Toxic is usefull but ice beam is more important.

Thunderous abused rain as it should but lets play jolly nature befor it gets revenge killed.

why the heck would you give gliscor sand veil? It only activates in sand which is your enemy so give it hyper cutter, which is pretty much useless but its a little more useful. I never got all the hype about that set until my friend used it to great sucess.

I have nothing to say about gyardos, just nothin.

I truely hate evolite abusers. How about the classic rain abuser
Dragonite
Hurricane
Thunder
Dragon tail
Draco meteor
A lot of people dont get the hype with this guy but he has 60ed a good team for me.

Scizor is amazing.

Disclaimer: Im not the best with rain teams, which is why I want josh to tutor me.

As I said in his description, sand veil allows Gliscor to punish sand teams, should they win the weather war. Not to mention that with Dragonite my team has 3 weaknesses to ice (2 of those being 4X weaknesses).
Yeah but Dragonite with MULTISCALE + a YACHE BERRY can quite easily survive an Ice Beam at full health. add Roost and you can heal of Damage, plus you lose Flying Type for that turn, so you go back to full health, which activates MULTISCALE again, and without Flying, Dragonite only has a x2 weakness to Ice. factor in Multiscales 50% damage reduction, and you can easily out stall an Ice Beam user, especially if its been subjected to Toxic.
That's not really the point though.
No point wasting an item that's easly wasted or not used, especially when dragonite isn't that brilliant at abusing rain with its special attack, it's not got the speed without dd
Adding to what blob said: Dragonite isn't a fast pokemon either, so I probably wouldn't be able to use Roost on the 2nd turn, and if I used it on the first turn, then I wouldn't get a chance to attack, and If I'm going to be stacking weaknesses on my team, I at least want something fast enough to take them down so as not to be a death fodder, as Pokemon that share a massive weakness with at least 2 others in the team usually become. I already implied that I don't want Dragonite on this team, he just wouldn't fit.
