Intro

Hello, you sexy Gligars! I bring you my latest OU team, "The Ways of The Gurr." Recently, I have just cleared my cookies, and all my teams on Showdown! are gone. I was fine with that, seeing as all my teams were outdated and they sucked. This led to a turn of events where I started making a sand team, but I clicked on one of my bookmarks at the top (obviously by accident) and my progress was gone. I thought this was a sign that I should make an CS OU team instead. Here it is!

As most of you know, Staraptor is in BL. Although it is still technically in OU, it gets no respect. BL in my opinion is a tier for rejects, and Staraptor is definitely not a reject. Staraptor isn't the only one, Chansey and Wobbuffet should be in the tier itself. I thought I should make a team starring one of them, and so I did. I also wanted to use some of the most known pokemon in OU as well. Better yet, some of them I hardly ever use. Most of you are going to comment "Intro = TL:DR," so here the team is... right below the teambuilding process. Remember to rate high!

TEAMBUILDING PROCESS

Underrated Bird. It is a huge powerhouse, what more could you want from a flying type?

Ah, I haven't used this guy in a while. My team is going to need a spinner, and it could use some entry hazards too.

I rarely use Latios. And I should use it more. It hits like a boss, and I don't see a reason not to use it.

Fresh Steak synergizes well with my other teammates. Surprise teams with your non-choiced steak! Great idea!

Tough pokemon wear pink. I love this guy. One question, is this guy a jelly? I want to spam U Jelly after I troll with Gastro.

Flash Fire covers Forretress. A stall tran should do.

(after a few battles) Screw Synergy. Why is it even a thing. Since I already have a hazard setter, i'll go for tha taunt skarm.

Kitty Hawk (Staraptor) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Reckless
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Double-Edge
- U-turn
- Roost
This is Kitty Hawk. Have you been here before? Well, Kitty Hawk decided it's tired of the crap it gets and now its going Reckless. It boosts my Brave bird and Double-Edge, and it already gets STAB! Roost heals from all that damage it takes from recoil and Life Orb. I'd probably only get a chance to use this when I switch in, and the opponent switches, although it is really helpful. Life Orb gives it so much power. I'll post some calcs below in a bit.

Small but satisfying (Forretress) (F) @ Red Card
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 248 Def / 252 HP / 8 Atk
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Bug Bite
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
This set may seem weird, but at least it's original. Stealth Rock and Spikes help my sweepers dust things up faster than normal. Rapid Spin is great for all the switching that is going on, and it is just nice to be able to switch without taking damage. Bug Bite is damage for when i'm either revenge killing or just stalling. The 8 Attack EVs gives it a bit of tanking skill, but not much. Also, Red Card surprises set up sweepers who try to think they can sweep while Forret is in. I don't find it as useful as Leftovers, although that would be my next choice of item.

Screw Gravity (Latios) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Dragon Pulse
Good Game.

[lawl]
Fresh Steak (Terrakion) (-) @ Leftovers EDIT: Leichi Berry
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Rock Polish
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
Everyone expects a choice set. Nope. I'll most likely send out Steak if the opponent would clearly switch out, so I can set up Substitute and Rock Polish. If the Sub is still up after I Rock Polish, that is great because that almost guarantees 2 pokemon out of the game. This hits just as hard as a scarfed adamant Terrakion, and it gets the ability to tank as well. Stone Edge and Close Combat is STAB. I don't invest Speed EVs because Rock Polish already makes me fast, and I chose 4 Defense EVS rather than Special Defense because Sandstorm raises defense (not that 4 EVs really matters anyways.)

Dat gAss... (Gastrodon) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SDef / 24 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Scald
- Clear Smog
- Earth Power
This is personally my favorite water type in OU. Takes almost every hit, and then regenerates with Recover. Clear Smog is another way to get rid of stats other than Forretress. The reason I don't use Toxic is because Scald has a great chance to burn and it's STAB, as well as Earth Power. You may be wondering, "Why the 24 Special Attack EVs, Glig?" This is because if I ever encounter another Gastrodon, I can take it out easier. Also, with a Storm Drain boost, Gastro is like a mini-tank.

Chrom (Skarmory) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 232 Def / 252 HP / 24 Spd
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
Surprise! Taunt Skarmory. A lot of people expect spikes, and in some cases, idiots think they can set up (They don't know about whirlwind). 24 Speed EVs can outspeed some some unsuspecting walls. Whirlwind is for people who have already set up, and yet again is a way to get rid of boosts. The last thing I need is for someone to sweep me with a +4 ScarfMence. Roost heals Skarmory. Brave Bird is incase someone taunts me (I'd switch in most cases anyways) or if I just need to attack.

Nice idea with Terrakion Glig. I like the Skarmory as well.
I see a Staraptor trend is going on.
Honchkrow > Staraptor
Also, the Leftovers on Terrakion is an immediate indication that it is not a CS Set amd betrays your attempts to disguise it. Replace it with the Liechi Berry.
Actually, Leichi Berry would do Terrakion more good, since it's already a Rock Polish set, and thus, Liechi could boost it's attack to even greater heights. Salac is really more for SubSD sets, but nice catch Enoch.
Oh I didn't read the whole thing lol. Liechi Berry, agreed.
No Special walls?
well, good luck getting swept by half of the OU Special Scarfed pokemons, or just fast stuff like Jolteon in general.
Oh? Well why don't you rate it then, Lenub?
And btw, Gastrodon covers special attackers fine.
