Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
Adamant Nature
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 SpA
-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Stone Edge
-Sleep Talk
Okay so this guy is one of my physcial attackers, and even though he isn't classified as Uber Class, he can hit most of the tier really hard. Close Combat hits the steel and dark types in the tier, Megahorn hits the psycihc and grass types and Stone edge hits fire, flying types (Die Ho-oh!). Sleep Talk rounds the set off, giving me something to kill Darkrai with as I can use Heracross to absorb the sleep and then have a 2/3 chance of using a move which hits Darkrai supereffectively, resulting in a KO.
Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Calm Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 36 Def, 220 SpD
-Recover
-Shadow Ball
-Scald
-Will-o-wisp
This guy is my special defense wall. I decided to choose him over the likes of Lugia and Ho-oh for two reason - the first was because he could counter the common Choice Kyogre sets, which basically always spam Water Spout. Once I send out Heracross the temptation will be too big for most Uber players to not press Water Spout which gives me the perfect chance to switch in Jellicent for free and cripple one of his Pokemon.
The second reason was because his a decent counter to Extremekiller Arceus. If I get him in on the same turn as Arceus, I can easily get a Will-o-wisp on it, crippling it. Also Extremespeed is completely useless against Jellicent - so no priority for you!
Dialga @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 124 Def, 36 SpA, 96 SpD
-Stealth Rock
-Dragon Pulse
-Fire Blast
-Roar
My defensive wall. He covers all of Jellicent's weaknesses and in turn, Jellicent can take the fighting and ground type attacks he can't. Dialga also sets up Stealth Rocks and can phaze a little with Roar. Dragon Pulse and Fire Blast are for attacking coverage.
Arceus-Fighting @ Fist Plate
Ability: Multitype
Timid Nature
EVs: 172 HP, 84 SpA, 252 Spe
-Calm Mind
-Judgement
-Ice Beam
-Recover
Stuff using Extremekiller Arceus lets be unique and use Arceus-Fighting :D
Fighting types are less common in the Uber tier, so there aren't as many counters to them. True there are alot of psychic types running rampart around the tier... but lets hope Heracross deals with them yes? ^_^
Calm Mind is to setup on this semi-bulky set, Recover to heal and Judgement/Ice Beam the moves of choices.
Zekrom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
Jolly Nature
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
-Bolt Strike
-Outrage
-Dragon Claw
-Volt Switch
Bolt Strike and Outrage are self-explanatory. STAB and hit like a truck. Dragon Claw is if I don't want confusion, or just a finisher. Volt Switch is to run away. :D
Choice Scarf fix's Zekrom's middling speed while also functioning as another revenge killer with Heracross. And also if i get the chance to bring it in safely, it outright KOes Kyogre and those other annoying Water or Flying types.
Darkrai @ Life Orb
Ability: Bad Dreams
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 Spa, 252 Spd, 4 SpD
-Dark Void
-Nasty Plot
-Focus Blast
-Dark Pulse
Classic Darkrai set, with extreme sweeping capabilities at any point of the game. Dark Void then Nasty plot, and you've got yourself a pokemon which can sweep through entire teams courtesy of STAB Dark Pulse and Focus Blast which hits everything Dark Pulse doesn't.
With this team, I tried countering some of the more common threats in the Uber Metagame - namely Kyogre, Darkrai and Extremekiller Arceus. I'd appreciate if you had any suggestions for this team or if you could rate it. XD
