Hello people of the DB. I am hereby presenting to you a UU (Beta) Team featuring some of the newly formed threats in this Pseudo OU tier. However this team has some of the newly come down's from Gen 5 OU, as well as some of last gen's RU.
One more thing: Our scribes have been working hard in the ancient ruins of the underground path, and they uncovered this ancient history of two duelers in action. Enjoy (I didn't really feel like going on to main and wasting time on an alt I'll never use again to get a good battle xD But as I battle more people I'll be putting more replays up, for now this is the only one)
~Enjoy this masterpiece~
Anubis (Houndoom) @ Houndoominite
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Destiny Bond
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Regret the day you face this deadly beast, the royal pet itself of the Castle. For he is as deadly as the cold-hearted rulers of this kingdom. Beware~...
Destiny Bond takes huge advantage of Houndoom's super fast speed to grant me a death. Consider this the ultimate revenge ;)
Fire Blast & Dark Pulse are my two main STAB's, and they do a ton of damage coming off that massive SpA of this dog.
Hidden Power Grass is pretty much my favorite Hidden Power to use in UU because of all the big bad Pokemon like Swampert and Rhyperior.
:)
Excalibur (Doublade) @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Gyro Ball
- Toxic
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
The sacred sword itself, the one shrouded in mystery for thousands of years, now uncovered, however the spirit who found it is now possessed inside the very soul of the sword. Wielder, take care~...
Gyro Ball is a good STAB move to use, and with the addition of Sticky Web to the field Doublade can only take advantage of that.
Toxic is pretty much my only move that can wear the user down, and it's generally a good move to use.
Rest takes advantage of Doublade's ENORMOUS defense and can heal up on pretty much any physical move.
Sleep Talk pairs up with Rest. Simple
c:
Queen~ (Vaporeon) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Protect
- Scald
The icy queen of the kingdom, she is not to be underestimated. The moment you do, you will wish that you haven't. Say hello to the one who overthrew the former queen, Chansey~...
Heal Bell is a much needed move on all my UU teams, with Scald running everywhere and all the Will-o-Wisps.
Wish & Protect is a good combo, guaranteeing free damage from Wish.
Scald is a great burning move, with it's burn chance at 99%. (Jk, of course)
<:
Master Chubb (Tangrowth) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 112 Def / 252 HP / 144 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Rest
Your bellies will be bursting with flavor after you eat something from the master chef, hailed from the kingdom of Araluen to work for the sinister castle here. So next time you see him, just be careful what you wish for~...
Knock Off suddenly got into high demand as of Gen 6, which I don't know why, but for whatever case it's a good move and I'm using it to knock off that eviolite off Chansey :)
Grass Knot hits surprisingly hard and it most of the time more reliable than Giga Drain
Hidden Power Fire nails those steels in the face, especially Ferroseeds even though no one uses it xD
Rest is a good healing move paired up with Vaporeon's Heal Bell
:D
~King (Swampert) @ Choice Band
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
The mighty ruler of the kingdom, the king himself is sometimes a jester in the court, however, when needed be, he will attack with ruthless enthusiasm and no mercy. He is a threat to be contended with~...
Stealth Rock is the gimmick of this set, as I needed a Hazards setter/Banded Poke, and well I guess Swampert popped into mind. No worries, it works quite well
Waterfall & Earthquake are the all powerful STAB moves
Ice Punch can hit stuff like Celebi and Haxorus on the switch-in.
☺
Royal Guard (Hydreigon) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
The Captain of the Royal Guard himself; he is a perfect match for his 3 heads are all seeing. He seeks out troublemakers, so if you are one. Just run~...
U-Turn provides much needed pivots
Fire Blast can nail the the steel types for Super effective damage and is generally a good move to have
Draco Meteor & Dark Pulse are the much needed STAB moves, and Draco Meteor > Dragon Pulse for fast hitting on turn 1.
(First two sprites found on Devianart)
