Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
There to take anything Specially Defensive, and easily predict latios/aegislash switches with Knock Off.
Tyranitar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 SDef / 112 HP / 144 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- Ancient Power
- Flamethrower
Okay, just hear me out. Most people like to burn my Tyranitar, but a specially offensive one takes my opponents by surprise. Also, nothing can touch it Specially. A Focus Blast from a thundurus usually does around 40%. This thing is an ultimate special beast and I'm surprised I don't see many others using it. For the EV spreads? I'm not an amazing person with EVs, however the Special Attack EVs just about allow one Ancient Power to take out a Charizard Y or Talonflame
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
Here is my defensive tank. Whirlwinding anything that cannot touch it physically, after putting down rocks of course. Definitely good for dealing damage with Rocky Helmet to those who dare touch it.
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Modest Nature
IVs: 30 Def / 30 SDef / 30 Spd
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Ancient Power
I don't usually see people run Ancient Power, but talonflame cannot touch Heatran in any way. The Ancient power is for surprise coverage, as with Tyranitar people expect a Stone Edge and U-Turn out.
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Energy Ball
- Defog
- Psyshock
This is usually my lead. Energy ball for Rotom-W. Surf for coverage and psyshock for STAB.
Mawile (M) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 244 HP / 4 SDef / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Swords Dance
- Fire Fang
- Sucker Punch
I've found Mawile winning a lot of games for me. It takes good prediction skills to know when to set up a swords dance, predict a switch in to a steel pokemon to use Fire fang, and what-not. If you make the right plays with Mawile, it is amazing. The 8Spd is for outspeeding other Mawiles that have 0 Spd investment.
Overall I like my team and have a 1608 Rating (I know it's not amazing, but it's still nice for a slightly experienced player like me) in OU and barely lose with this team. I'm open to all simple EV change suggestions or move changes.
