So, Mawile dropped to PU. Not very many people are actually into the tier, so I think for the most part this mon went unnoticed in the tier shift by many. But I've not been this hyped since abomasnow dropped to NU. Mawile has such an amazing typing, and the only real thing holding it back in NU was its speed and now that it's in PU its low speed is much more manageable. I've actually had a lot of success with this team on the ladder, but I'm posting it here because I always kinda like posting teams I've enjoyed using, and it's always nice to see if anybody's opinions about the team. In particular, I was curious about my kind of uncommon Mawile moveset. Now I post fun, borderline meme teams every once in a while so I should clerify: this team is meant to be competitive and my Mawile set is 100% serious... I just want to see if people think it's worth it :P

Weaknesses: team is a little weak to stoutland, edge-quake, ice types, floatzel (but like... what team isn't amirite), and rotom frost (but again, what team isn't amirite).

Mawile @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Play Rough
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance

So this is the unorthodox set I was talking about. I've been experimenting with air balloon, and while the loss of power from not running life orb seems daunting at first, it's amazing to be able to set up on, or at the very least 1v1 because of landing 2 hits on, many prominent ground types. For example: Golem and Marowak both live a hit, but because they have to take a turn to break my balloon with a resisted hit (stone edge/knock off/double edge/sucker punch) I'm able to kill them off with a follow up attack. Plus, this set actually hard walls Arbok, Gabite, and forces Vibrava to take a play rough if it wants to U-turn. I've been surprised how often I've been able to sweep with this. Also, Mawile is brilliant in the tier as it's the only fairy that can switch into knock off without losing an eviolite, barring like freaking carbink or something.

Banette @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Insomnia
EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Gunk Shot
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt

Next mon is something that I can't seem to stop using in the tier, it's just so fun. Colbur Banette is a great machoke counter, and is also often a very good switch into chatot as chatot rarely actually carry an attack to hurt Banette and they all run a choice item. Banette is a great stallbreaker and can 1v1 most defensive mons like audino, lickilicky, tangela, clefairy etc.... with the utility of being able to burn pawniard/leafeon/machoke/marowak/other physical threats thanks to the hp investment and colbur berry. Speed is for max speed base 45 speed mons.

Rapidash @ Charcoal
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Wild Charge
- Will-O-Wisp
- Morning Sun

Rapidash is here as kind of a way to patch up a lot of holes the team had. It's my primary ice switch in... as funny as that may sound (cryogonal, regice, articuno, rotom) while also checking things like other Mawile, gourgeist, pawniard, leafeon, and gogoat thanks to will-o-wisp. It's also my fastest mon on my team capping out at 105. I've been really bad lately for not running scarfers, but I hate running scarf on offence. So between Rapidash, Swanna and Banette, hopefully I have enough speed control.

Swanna @ Life Orb
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Scald
- Defog
- Roost

Swanna is like, pretty much the only offensive defogger in the entire tier :/ which is kinda unfortunate. So I find myself running this garb mon on every team. That, and I needed it's typing. Swanna is my only true ground resist, and offers very usefull fire, water, fighting and bug resists. It's my primary check to monferno, defogs on many rockers in the tier, and is just in general a hard pokemon to switch into when you actually land hurricane.

Roselia @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis

In general, the reason I like using banette so much is it's actually a really good spinblocker, and can beat 1v1 things like cryogonal, wartortle, avalugg, and to an extent it can 1v1 torkoal and armaldo as long as it switches in on a rapid spin and not a knock off or lava plume burn (respectively). Therefore, I wanted some hazard stacking support, which roselia provides. Roselia also gives the team a thunder wave/scald/status in general sponge, is a backup water resist and my best electric counter. It's also my best switch into clefairy if I don't want to pop my balloon.

Gabite @ Eviolite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 76 Atk / 104 Def / 80 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Toxic

And the last mon is Tank-Chomp Gabite. Basically does the same thing Garchomp does in OU. Speed is to outspeed max speed base 60 pokemon.

I'll include a few replays so you can see the team in action before you say it's bad.
