I think this team is good, it won me a tournament with 6-0 in finals, but I still feel like there's room for improvement.

Aegislash @ Iron Ball
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Atk / 84 SpA
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Gyro Ball
- Rock Slide
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
Aegislash is mostly an offensive mon, wether taking down fast threats with iron ball, or supporting my other mons with rock slide/shadow ball.
Gastrodon-East @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clear Smog
- Muddy Water
- Recover
- Protect
Gastrodon is also offensive, I like it because it won't go down. I think clear smog is useful.

Garchomp @ Groundium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Protect
Yes, it dies to ice moves, but it exells in any other situation with swords dance and tectonic rage.

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Overheat
- Discharge
- Protect
Since, Manetric is frail I bring it only when it needs to kill something quickly, hence volt switch to escape dangerous situations.

Scrafty @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Rock Slide
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
Intimidate and fake out are very common in doubles and knock off is there mainly for eviolite users.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Eruption
- Heat Wave
- Toxic
I had to give it quiet nature, otherwise it doesn't get eruption. It doesn't get targeted on first turn that often, dealing some good damage with eruption and air ballon prevents ground types from hitting it. Heat wave is there for when eruption gets weaker and toxic for when my team has a bad matchup to poison the foe and spam protect.

With Aegislash, I would say replace Gyro Ball for Iron Head because it has higher base power even with Aegislash's decent speed.  Then you can have  the Speed IV's to outspeed some things.  Also, I would ditch Shadow Ball for Shadow Sneak or Shadow Claw so you can focus on one Attack Stat.  This is just my opinion though.
Shadow claw on Aegislash would most likely ne better than shadow ball, thank you for that. I will, however, keep gyro ball and low speed because Aegislash works better when it's slow. If it's faster than the foe, than it can be hit while in blade forme.

Aegislash
He's rlly bad. Try using this that I like to use in monotype ( I know it's for doubles but is only an example)
Slasher (Aegislash) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Autotomize ( for outspeed)
Edit: this is my aegislash for gen 8, sorry about the mistake about close combat.
OBS: Don't mind of nickname
Gastrodon
Muddy water is bad, try using scald (can make the foe burn).Recover is bad, use toxic.
Evs are bad, put all in Hp and SpA.
Garchomp
He's really bad, with who you're going to use it? If heatran take care cuz if the oponent have everything that can hit it, you're lost.Take dragon claw and put outrage. Put it held item persim berry. Why protect in a sweeper? Put stone edge for coverage of Ice types, or Iron head, wich ones you prefer.
EDIT: Persim berry for using outrage twice in a row.
Manectric
Overheat is bad, use flamethrower cuz you don't need to lost stats. Discharge is good if combo with garchomp or gastrodon. Why protect again man? Use ice fang for ground types
EDIT: this was the best I could think for substitue protect.
Scrafty
Intimidate isn't the best, moxie is much better.
Heatran
How he can learn eruption? Put earth power in the place of eruption. Take toxic and put iron head for STAB.
That was my opinion :D

heatran can learn eruption via event but yeah it really isn't necessary on heatran imo
intimidate and protect are better in doubles
ice fang is coming off of manectric's bad special attack
lum berry is better than persim berry
close combat on aegislash isn't possible in gen 7
I prefer persim berry cuz there are foes that can burn, toxic or paralyze u
Ur mixing up Lum and Persim berries. A persim berry cures confusion while a lum berry cures any status conditions.
I'm saying that persim berry is better cuz it heals confusion while lum berry heals every status condition. So if a oponent burns u while u're using outrage, the lum berry will be active and then chomp won't be able to cure it confusion
I think you're just trolling. Why is Aegislash bad? The set you gave me doesn't even have King's shield! Muddy water>scald on gastrodon because it hits both targets. How is Garchomp bad? It's very strong! I gave protect to Mametric so Earthquake doesn't kill it. Garchomp and Manetric work well together. Intimidate>Moxie, obviously. You don't really know how double battles work. Eruption on Heatran is unconventional, but it can deal a lot of damage.
Aegislash you can switch and it'll become shield form
Why protect in garchomp?
I gave my opinion man, you asked about it ;-;
switching in vgc is super common, there is no point of doing that over just using king's shield
protect is good on any pokemon on vgc because... doubles mechanics
I’m a bit late, but a Lum Berry is still better. What happens if you get burned? Then your attack is cut in half for the rest of the match, which sucks. What if you get Paralyzed? You won’t be faster than the opponent. Toxic can stall you. A Freeze will lower your chances of getting off some damage by a lot, and so will Sleep. Outrage confusion can also be healed, and if it’s not, too bad. I think the other status conditions above cripple you more than Confusion. Especially a burn.
