Froslass @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
Froslass is my suicide lead, and provides hazard support for the team. If you predict correctly, you can sometimes bring another Pokemon down using Destiny Bond. Taunt prevents other leads from setting up, as I don't have a defogger or spinner, and also makes the enemy only using attacking moves so taking them down with Bestiny bond is easier. Ice Beam instead of the usual Icy Wind because I found that no one on my team particularly benefits from it, so it can provide some extra damage.
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Surf
This used to be a physical set, but special provides much more coverage. Specs is for an immediate power boost, to bolster Dragapult's decent special attack. Shadow Ball and Draco Meteor are STAB, but I wasn't really sure what to do for the last two slots. I went for Flamethrower and Surf, but switching them out for Fire Blast and Hydro Pump is feasible for an extra power boost, but I prefer the consistent accuracy.
Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Dazzling Gleam
Gengar is our speed control, and deals with Fairy Types like Tapu Koko and Clefable that Dragapult may struggle with. Gengar also functions as a great revenge killer. I use sludge wave for a little bit more power, but using Sludge Bomb for a higher poison chance works too.
Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Play Rough
- Wood Hammer
Mimikyu is a great physical cleaner, as it can set up with Sword Dance behind Disguise and sweep with Shadow Sneak and Play Rough. I use Wood Hammer because it can help against some rock and ground types that the special attackers might struggle with in sand. Life Orb is great for a little extra power and works well to get KO's when you can't set up with Swords Dance. Using Drain Punch could also substiute for Wood Hammer, as it take down Normal types and negate some Life Orb damage.
Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
Aegislash works well against somewhat slower teams like Rock, but it can still quickly get out of control with a Swords Dance and Weakness Policy boost. Aegislash can often setup safely in Defense form, and sometimes take a super effective Flamethrower or Earthquake to activate Weakness Policy. With a 3x boost in Attack form, Aegislash's attack stack reaches higher than 1200, and can easily decimate unprepared teams.
Polteageist @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shell Smash
- Giga Drain
- Shadow Ball
- Stored Power
Polteageist is the final set up sweeper, and can outspeed pretty much anything after a shell smash, and outspeed absolutely everything with a Weak Armor speed boost. Between Shell Smash and Weak Armor, you get enough stat boosts to make stored power incredibly powerful. Giga Drain can let Polteageist gain enough HP to (sometimes) survive a priority move and respond with a KO. Focus Sash guarantees a Shell Smash without hazards or weather up.
