The other way might be participating in tours and other things they organize hoping that you catch their eye and they would be on your lookout from their own side, but it's kinda hard for players new to tours to achieve. You shouldn't be too worried about not getting drafted because even many good players end up getting not drafted

They don't consider ladder performance much usually in any tier unless it's something really impressive. You could show them replays of you beating players that do well in tournaments or have a good record in winning in individual tournaments like SSNL and others.
