Sorry for asking stupid questions, but why is ded banned?

It's not a stupid question. People would say "ded" whenever the chat was inactive. It got annoying quickly, as it was spammed and the word was used when so much as a minute passed between posts. One of the staff banned the word, and I followed suit later.

I hate to say it, but X here is lying. Here is the origin of "ded" and why it's banned:
Once upon a time, there was a Pokemon named Dedenne. It was below PU in Gen 6, but had use in PU. It would spam "ded" while trying to knock out opposing Pokemon, and even possessed some Pokebase users to do its bidding. However, the PU Pokemon Council in PU decided to ban the word ded from PU, thus making Dedenne useless. Therefore, he decided to go to Pokebase to contunue his "ded" shenanigans. Unfortunately for him, the Pokebase staff members found out what he was doing, and there for banned "ded" along with Dedenne from chat. Therefore, in Gen 7, they created ZU, where Dedenne would never be allowed to say ded again do to the "ded clause" enforced in every single tier.
The first three letters of my name is banned from chat (Dedenne) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Cheek Pouch
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Super Fang
- Toxic
- U-turn
- Recycle
Not only did Super Fang lower the opponent's health, but it made Dedenne say ded so loudly that it interrupted chat conversations. Toxic not only poisoned opponents, but the consist use of the word "ded" made users annoyed of the word in the Pokebase chat. Once Dedenne spammed the word "ded" when no one was around, it would use U-Turn to run away from chat to try to not get caught. Once Dedenne sees that chat doesn't have the word "ded" in it, it would use Recycle to bring up the word "ded" again, and along with restoring it's Sitrus Berry. In Gen 8, people realized how useless Dedenne was without saying "ded" that they never saw it viable again.
So, what do you think? XD
