Thx, Happy Halloween. Michael Groth from MandJTV is a PokéTuber of 10 yrs., which makes his judgement applicable. What he means by BEST is which starter has the better/most advantages against the gyms/trials(kahunas) or select notable Specialist battles. My basis for BEST is similar to his, but the difference is which is most advantageous against the first 2 gyms, middle 3 gyms, last 3 gyms, and atleast 1 E4 member (In the case of Trials, it's the same formula.).

Referencing MandJTV's Best Starter Video, all are correct (except that he said Popplio was best due to the Kahuna battles instead of the trials. My basis for Best in Alola is the Trials.). His vid isn't updated to see which Gen-9 Starter is best, so that one's my opinion.

So far (excluding Emboar from Unova), I've used every "best" Starter Pokémon from each region:
a Grass/Poison-type/Eevee in Kanto (LGE), Typhlosion in Johto (HG), Swampert in Hoenn (OR), Infernape in Sinnoh (BD), Delphox in Kalos (X), Incineroar/Decidueye in Alola (S/US), Cinderace in Galar (Sh), H. Samurott in Hisui (PLA), and Meowscarada in Paldea (V).

After I complete Alola and its PostGame using my Decidueye team (see below), I would have completed every Region using the "best" Starter from each (Also, I'm saving my Gen-5 team for BW remakes.).
