You never remove all the posts that break rules. Based on what I see, you rarely remove them unless they get flagged. If nobody flags a rule-breaking post, I can't speak for everyone, but I certainly won't expect you to find all of them by yourself. So why do you seem to think, if you start hiding old posts, you will have to find all of them by yourself rather than continuing to take stuff from the flags list like you've always been doing?

The standard is that moderators look at some list of flagged questions and close the ones that they think really break the rules. I don't see how that can ever change.

Why do you seem so afraid of "making precedents"?
