Oh yeah, forgot to mention that only one of the Aron ended up using roar, but it was the last one, so even if I didn't have Deezin (Voltorb), it wouldn't have mattered.

Update: I reclaimed Aron.
I got 4, actually. The first one appeared at 30, which I somehow knew would happen. The next one took a bit after 40. Then the one after, he took a loooooong time. I even accidentally ran into a normal grass patch. Luckily, the chain continued, and I got the shiny patch on like the next reset after that. Then the last one came shortly after the third.

As for why I got 4, I wanted too males, and the first two were females.

Yeah, I like to pick decent balls. Luckily, I happened to have a Voltorb Swarm, so I got 3 Voltorb (the first two didn't have soundproof, and I'm gonna attempt Aron again.

What do you mean by "what do I need to look for for a shiny patch." A shiny patch should stick out quite obviously, it's just a matter of luck. Sometimes, it takes a stupid long time to get one patch, and sometimes, patches show up quickly. So you're most likely getting criminally unlucky.

So good news, I found a shiny Aron.

...buuuut I forgot to check it's movepool and didn't realize it had Roar and Take Down. It used Roar. So yeah, shiny fail :D

At least I got a picture, though.

Just for future reference, I'd close something like https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/420487 outright. If you literally have to turn the question into something different, then it's just not worth it.
