I was going to half arse this, but then I didn't. Took up waaay too much time.

It's still a shounen, and shounen almost never amount to anything. That said, Boku no Hero isn't anything special, average at best.

If you haven't seen Ghost in the Shell, you probably should. It's the most legendary scifi, cyperpunk, and dystopia ever made. Basically the spiritual successor to 1984, but better in my opinion because it isn't a snoozefest. You might notice that lots of scenes / shots from GitS are in other movies - that's because the Matrix, Inception, and every good movie similar to it does shot for shot references to GitS.

One of my friends recommended a band called Erra, and imo they have a more Seether feel to them in comparison to Asking Alexandria which is signed by the same label "Sumerian Records" so they'd be right up your alley. Skyline would be my first song recommendation

Finally finished my damn Platinum run. Not sure if I'll do post game or try and get a second hand copy of either BW2 or HG sooner. Or just wait to try and get another game. Idk. Either way I want to play more pokemon soon.

My unpunctuated, quickly typed point was more to ask have you stopped listening to an artist for awhile started listening again to the newer songs they've put out then thought "dang, I don't like this at all" or "Hmm, I'll just listen to the older stuff but other than that nah"? And in other news, my metalcore days are over lmao. Vocals chords are screwed from "overuse" so now I'm stuck as Bass Player :'( all sympathy hugs are appreciated

So, I went through the Asking Alexandria discography in a whole weekend and picked three to learn on Bass and whilst doing so I realised, "Hmm, I don't really think that Dennis Shaforostov really fits the AA style of Vocals in comparison to Danny Worsnop" because literally all Dennis does is high scream and mid screams/growls on the latest album where as the last 3? albums Danny had layered screams (with the power of editing), High Screams, Mid Growls and Low Screams/ growls which gave the songs more variety. So all in all, this was a convoluted way of saying I just wasted $32 on AA's latest album only to return it the next day lmao. So have you found any bands that you feel that way about in a sense?
