The pokedex entries say that Mimikyu has disguised himself in a cloth cause his real body is too creepy to see. It is for that reason that the parents wanted it to be released, since they didn't want their kid to see that. Pokedex entries also say that once a researcher saw what's under Mimikyu, and died painfully later that night; I was gonna use that in my story too, but I'm too lazy to complete it so yeah.
