Zen is a Mew from faraway island. It is unaware of shinies so it doesn't mind being a blue Mew. Zen's personality, like its' nature, is pretty quirky. It can range from very careless and lazy to hardworking and modest. Since it is aware that he is hunted down - not just because of its different color, but also because it is a Mew! - it usually stays in the Faraway Island, gobbling up berries peacefully since Faraway Island is not mapped.

However, a trainer managed to find Faraway Island and found Zen. The trainer, however, was uninterested in catching Zen but is interested in studying Zen instead. After a few hours of talk - through telepathy - the Trainer left a Choice Scarf as a parting gift for Zen. After that, though, the trainer is nowhere to be seen anymore. He never came back to Faraway Island.
