The main problem is that it's a dishonest practice. Points are supposed to be a reputation system -- if you simply remove all the times you were wrong, then you get a very skewed perspective, right? We want to keep the system genuine.
You don't need to worry if you don't do it again, though. It's not something we've made a public stance on, so it's not fair to penalise you the first time.

I don't like Greedent.
