Did you know that there's a Poison-type Eeveelution?

It's called Burakkī. It's actually from Gen 2, the Gold/Silver Spaceworld '97 demo, which is in Japanese. It evolves from Eevee with something called a Poison Stone. Obviously it didn't make the final cut, same with quite a few Pokemon from the Spaceworld demo. There was also Rīfi, a Grass-type Eeveelution that evolved from Eevee with the Leaf Stone. While it didn't make it to Gen 2, Leafeon was introduced in Gen 4, so they kept the idea at least. They also had Ēfi, a Psychic-type Eeveelution that evolved with a 'Heart Stone'. It seems to be Espeon, so they kept that. Sadly I can't compare them by pictures since Bulbapedia didn't show me one of Ēfi. Funnily enough, there seemed to be no Umbreon at all. Sad.

They scrapped more than just a couple Eeveelutions. For example, there was Mikon, a Water-type pre-evolution of Vulpix, and Shibirefugu, an evolved form of what seemed to be Qwilfish. There were also Pokemon like Manbō1, a Water-type Pokemon, and its evolutions, Ikari and Gurotesu, which were both Water/Steel-type.

Very fascinating.

"The Pokédex is also present as a Key Item with index number 0x09 and can be accessed during battle, much like Ash does in the anime. It also causes the VRAM to load the overworld tileset and turns the HP bar to letters when used in battle."

That amuses me and I'm not exactly sure why. Oh wait:

Ash: "(uses Pokedex in battle)"
Pokedex: "(displays info on a Pokemon)"
Player: "(uses Pokedex in battle)"
Pokedex: "(VRAM loads overworld tileset and HP bar turns to letters)"
Player: ";-;"

"Trades between Pokémon games in different languages are possible; however, a Japanese game cannot connect with a non-Japanese game without causing corruption. This is due to the fact that the games cannot automatically translate the Pokémon data from Japanese to a different language or vice versa, since neither game fully encodes both kana and the Latin alphabet (only encoding one fully and the other partially). If a battle between a Japanese game and a non-Japanese game is attempted, the battle simply does not work, with the save files left unharmed."

"h 4Pゥ ゥ... learns twelve Super Glitch moves, eight of which crash the game.
At one point, it learns five Super Glitch moves in a row (all of which crash the game)."
