Ya know, Dwarves and Elves are both as bad as each other. If you look at Tauriel and Kili, Legolas and Gimli, you can see that our hatred between our races can be healed. Tauriel and Kili love each other (Legolas is so jelly, he runs back for me ;)) and Legolas and Gimli are the best of friends, as quoted "What about dying side by side as a friend?".
