there is my emotional rant on my hatred of sad endings, something that sucks out your admiration for a series and leaves you feeling washed up and empty.

i feel like ive intertwined myself into this series -- into this character -- just to feel the ache of her death.

it is no better than searchlight dying in stone fox or even all of the dinosaurs having to say goodbye forever in dinosaur king.

the heartbreak hits when you least expect it. i dont get how someone could enjoy the feeling of that happening, much less someone writing a masterpiece of a trilogy then killing off the most lovable character that everyone has been following since the first pages of the first book.

sometimes i wonder if i put some of my emotions in the wrong places. for the past 20 minutes ive randomly started sobbing over the main character of the books im reading dying. i loved her. i hate sad endings, why cant all books just leave a warm fuzziness in your stomach and make you have a bittersweet yearning for more.
