Bright and Gail my beloveds

Bright is a superpowered little guy (I say as though he's not close to my age) whose powers are linked to a flashy, inconvenient transformation that also happens to make him look kinda girly. He's teased about it a lot, it's out of his control. However he used to find his transformation really cool as a kid, it giving him a costume reminded him of some sort of superhero (even though he looks like a magical girl, not sure that counts), so that's what he always wanted to be. So basically he's a nervous funny-looking superhero-wannabe guy trying to sorta prove people wrong about him or something I'm not sure but he's adorable I like him.
And then there's Gail, Bright's non-canon (pseudo)hermaphrodite friend from another universe. Yes. That last bit doesn't make sense even in the world Bright lives in, but I was bored and it came to me in a bath and I thought it was entertaining. Anyway, I swear Gail looks either bored or disappointed in people all the time, but he's not as aloof as he may at first appear. He's extremely open, particularly about the fact that he's a hermaphrodite, which he will share with random people who try to talk to him or his friends for no apparent reason just to see how they judge him. At least it's easy for him to decide who he wants to hang out with. But that's not all, of course, he's also very open about a lot of his thoughts and feelings, often also out of nowhere. And not just negative stuff either. If he's thinking about the fact that he loves his friends, for instance, he might just tell them. Because he does love his friends, including Bright. And hey, sometimes he just needs someone to listen, whether he's talking about something important or not.
