My blastoise is now level 50 and still didn't progress enough to catch more water types. Seriously why are the water types so late in the game?

I have never played Breath of the wild, though i believe of every 10 hours gameplay Pokémon has a lot more dialogue then BoTW? Pokémon isn't realistic and has more dialogue so everything might be out of place.

Playing at your own pace as in, for example in grand theft auto you don't have the option to talk to people they just talk to you automatically, and it's handy in missions to know what to do. Pokémon doesn't need anybody telling you what to do while in a battle besides the beginning
