I've been reading the Walking Dead comic, and I gotta say it is way better than the show. The show has its good moments, but those are rather sparse compared to all the melodramatic bs. The comic has some real emotion to it and doesn't feel the need to phone it in like the show does. It also moves along so much faster than the show ever did.

The comic is good enough that it actually makes me like Carl. Something the show will never be able to do.

Boxtrolls was enjoyable. Definitely the weakest of the Laika films, but it's very difficult to top Coraline and to a lesser degree Paranorman.

Caught up with ep 6 now, and I'm not to worried. The controversial scene is nothing, and as for the removed/changed stuff il remain cautiously optimistic. Sure they've made a few duds before but if this was in the books, people wouldn't mind. When we have seen what both the books and show leads up to il pass my final judgment, but for now I will remain content with having two very different entities. (If Martin adapts the books to fit the show though il be at the forefront of the crusade).

So of course I read all of Fables two months before the series ends. Now I have to wait. ;-;

I see your point and do agree some of the omissions is a bloody shame, but I still hold hope for the serie. They haven't done anything really stupid yet (bar leaving out Euron) and until they do something like that il still watch it.

Shame that so many sites are unwilling to value unfettered freedom of speech. Reddit is run by a host of cowards who are unwilling to tolerate a dissenting opinion.
