climate change is destroying us and its going to destroy civilization because greedy, corrupt people in power cant focus on the greater good. Its horrible that WE are the ones that have to suffer for it, and im just beyond depressed right now

Because its not a goddamn problem for them until its literally in their backyard! No one will do an effing thing until it directly impacts them, and then it'll be too late! The billionaires would rather spend their spare change on space tourism, the politicians feed us lies so they can get reelected. We've ignored the experts since the 1970s, and it's coming back to bite us. The heat waves in the western USA and Middle East temperatures in CANADA of all places just confirmed that it's practically too late.

The entire thing just makes me ******* miserable. The idiocy of previous generations have doomed us and our future descendants to a much worse life, if indeed we even survive this shitfest at all.

quick couple things im tlaking about, i might elaborate later or not idgaf

- bolsonaro is decimating the amazon rainforest
- a new world record highest temperature was just set
- lytton was completely ravaged by fire, and its supposed to be cool there
- sea levels are rising
- species are dying

It's just money, money, money. We've seen the warning signs about climate change for decades now, and nothing's been done about it. This planet it going to hell, and our generation is going with it due to previous generations' utter lack of care for the future.

Oh nothing much, just the fact that the all-consuming greed of this materialistic world is going to leave our generation without a decent future
