what is the point of having your own office and you can't even sit on your own chair ? that doesn't make sense at all ?

Eh, it's how the game works. And in the game you can't sit on furniture, but thats the way Gamefreak wanted it.

It's gamefreak logic. You might-as-well ask them. How would we know? I'm pretty sure nobody here would have wrote a letter to game freak asking this question and then game freak would answer. If they did, good for them. Let them answer.
