Does Sentret only come out at morning/day?

I was doing the same as my favorite YouTuber PurpleRodri He caught a sentret and I can`t find it at night I find hoothoots and Rattatas But I want a sentret please help me

For Routes 1 and 29, Sentret only appears in the morning and day.

In the Safari Zone, however, Sentret can appear at any time of the day, but only in the Swamp area. Other areas, it is morning and day only.
